For Linksys Wireless Routers to work all you need to do plug them in
and power them up. Its is simple as that!! However, this presents a security
risk and leaves your data vulnerable.
On this page we will be covering basic router security configurations.
However, the Linksys Administration Interface offers a multitude of configuration
options, which we encourage you to learn more about at Linksys's
Web Site.
Since this document is slightly more advanced we recommend you call
mc.net for help if you have questions setting up your router. This document
assumes you are using the Windows Wireless Client Utility and that your
wireless card has been enabled on your computer.

SETTING YOUR ROUTER TO DEFAULT SETTINGS
We all make mistakes!! If you cannot get into your router do the following:
1. Unplug the router from the power.
2. Take a sharp point such as pen tip and push the reset button down.
3. Plug the router back into the power while still holding the reset
button.
4. Wait 30 seconds and release the reset button.
5. Your router is now set to defaults.
6. It is important to note that your connection is now vulnerable and
your router will need to be reconfigured. |
