mc.net - When SERVICE Matters



Mac Mail E-mail Configuration

This document assumes you are connecting to the Internet via mc.net. Some third party providers require you to use their SMTP server to send e-mail. Click here for a list of third party SMTP servers.

1. Open Mail.

2. From the Mail menu, choose Preferences.

3. Click the Add Account button.

4. Click on the Acount Information tab.
5. Click the arrow box on the Account Type pop-up list and choose POP.
6. In the Description field, type your entire mc.net e-mail address (e.g., jdoe@mc.net).
7. In the E-mail Address field, type your entire mc.net e-mail address (e.g., jdoe@mc.net).
8. In the Full Name field, type your name.
9. In the Incoming Mail Server field, type mail.mc.net.
10. In the User Name field, enter the first part of your mc.net e-mail address (e.g., jdoe).
11. In the Password field, type your password.
12. Click the arrow box on the Outgoing Mail Server pop-up list and choose Add server.

13. In the Outgoing Mail Server field, type mail.mc.net.
14. Click the arrow box on the Authentication pop-up list and choose Password.
15. In the User Name field, type your entire mc.net e-mail address (e.g., jdoe).
16. In the Password field, type your password.
17. Click the OK button.

18. Click the OK button.

19. Close the Accounts window.

Congratulations! You have configured Mac Mail for E-mail!
